2007-2008 Girls Basketball Tryouts Information

Tryouts for the 2007-2008 girls varsity and junior varsity teams will begin on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Every interested student athlete must attend and participate in ALL tryout sessions in order to be considered for either team. We will have tryouts on Saturday. Be prepared to run and do not be late. Conditioning has already started and is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school.

You must have all paperwork turned in to Mrs. Johnson by November 15, 2007 in order to be considered for the team. You may put it in my mailbox in the main office or to room 379. The forms required are the Eligibility Form, Medical Card and Physical Form (must be filled out by a Dr. within a year). You can pick these up in the main office or outside of room 379.

Your Quarter 1 grades determine your academic eligibility for basketball. You must have a 2.0 and no more than 1 E on your report card. The quarter ends October 31.

The top 12-14 players are going to make varsity and the next will be on JV. The only way a freshman would make Varsity is if she would get a lot of playing time. Keep in mind that if you do make the team you will be committed to practicing/playing 6 days a week until the end of February.
