Students of French at Northwest High School are encouraged to sign up to attend the first-ever Montgomery County Francophone Festival.
The festival is sponsored by the French teachers of MCPS, and will be held at Gaithersburg High School on Saturday, November 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Events which participating students may enjoy will include a costume contest featuring characters from the Astérix comics, dramatic arts presentations and traditional African story-telling, poetry recitation, sports contests, art workshops, a film festival, and competing Jeopardy teams. Registration forms are available from Mme Austin and Mlle Gahagen and should be returned by October 15th. |
