• 12/18/08: 2009 College Showcase Volleyball Camp for January 4, 2022 is cancelled. Rescheduled as a 4-day camp this summer from July 20-23, 2009 with the college coaches attending on the last day. They already have 10 colleges signed up. They include: American, Catholic, Delaware State, Dickinson, Johns Hopkins, Mary Washington, Marymount (VA), McDaniel and NC Wesleyan. They expect to have 20+ colleges attending in July. Price: TBD. Open to (Varsity) 10th-12th graders. • 12/12/08: Montgomery County has released the county divisions for the next two years. The way divisions are created has been changed somewhat. There are now 4 divisions, two divisions of 4A teams and two divisions of 3A/2A teams. The divisions were created by geography with some attempt to provide balance based on records from past years. Here they are:

• 4A East: Blair, Magruder, Richard Montgomery, Paint Branch, Sherwood and Springbrook.
  4A West: BCC, Churchill, Gaithersburg, Walter Johnson, Northwest, Whitman and Wootton
  3A/2A East: Blake, Clarksburg, Damascus, Kennedy, Northwood and Rockville
  3A/2A West: Einstein, Poolesville, Quince Orchard, Seneca Valley, Watkins Mill and Wheaton

• Each team will play everyone in their division once.

  Club Volleyball (aka - Junior Olympics (JO), Select, Travel) Club season usually runs from December thru Memorial Day weekend. Click the club name to get the most current information on fees, coaches, locations, schedules, club contact person, etc. (*** All tryouts are completed for the 2009 season.)

• NW Daily Announcements (9/29/08): The Girls Varsity Volleyball team won in 3 games against Rockville on Thursday night (9/25), extending their winning streak 7-0!

• NW Daily Announcements (9/22/08): The Girls Varsity Volleyball team has extended their winning streak to 5 games. Last Monday the girls defeated Northwood. All the girls had a great effort in the win. This past Wednesday, the girls battled the divisional rival of Richard Montgomery. In the last game, the girls were down 23-16 and came back to win 23-25!! All the girls did an excellent job on and off the court. It was an exciting match to watch with extraordinary teamwork from Jessica Warner, Rachael Townsend, and Hanna Yi. Emily Forst and Becca Seiler held down the net during the game, while Jayani, Abby, and Hanna controlled the back line.
